MINI CHEER "SPARKLERS" 8 YRS AND YOUNGER LEVEL 1/2 CHEER The team member will be learning sharp motion technique with solid placement, good jump technigue with good height and execution. The team member will learn to demonstrate a strong cartwheel and round-off. The team member will work towards a standing back handspring. The team member should have good overall cheer skills, physically fit, strength demonstrated in stunting. JUNIOR TEAM "FUSE" 10 YRS AND YOUNGER LEVEL 2/3 CHEER The team member should demonstrate sharp motion technique with solid placement, good jump technique with good height and execution, solid round-off/cartwheel and working on standing back handspring, good overall cheer skills, physically fit, strength demonstrated in stunting. SENIOR TEAM "NITRO" 10 YRS TO 18 YRS OLD LEVEL 3/4 SHOOTING FOR LEVEL 5 FOR 09/10 AND CHEER WORLDS CHEER The team member should demonstrate sharp motion technique with solid placement, level or hyper-extended jumps with solid technique, standing back handspring and working on advanced tumbling, physically fit with cheer ability. Ability to learn stunts and dance portion material quickly. |
| CHEER COMPETITIVE TEAMS |
| LEVEL 1 Basic skills and definition of terminology are the main focus at this level. Learning basic skills stretching and strengthen skills. Basic skills listed: forward rolls, backward rolls, forward diving roll, backbend, handstand, cartwheel, round-offs and standing back handspring. Learning basic balance on a low beam: walks, turns, roll pivots. Basic trampoline skills: jumping, basics and progresses through different types of jumps back and front contact skills. In order to move to level 1/2 individuals must demonstrate skills including, but not limited to: strong rolls, cartwheels, round-offs. A standing back handspring with little or no spot plus proper body placement in all skills. LEVEL 1/2 A fundamental class for developing handstand, backbends, round-off, front and back walkovers, one handed cartwheel, aerial cartwheel, standing back handspring, front handspring and standing back tuck. On the trampoline: handsprings and aerial skills. Low beam skills: walks, pivots, rolls, cartwheel, handstand. In order to move to level 2/3 individuals must demonstrate skills including, but not limited to: strong round-offs, standing back handspring, round-off back handspring. The round-off back handspring back tuck with spot and multiple back handsprings. All skills must have proper body placement. ADVANCED 2/3 Standing series tumbling, round-off to back handspring, round-off to back handspring to back tuck, flips front and back, aerial cartwheel, aerial round-off, multiple back handsprings. All skills must have proper body placement. |
